CAD/CAM

Students will be introduced to one of the most important tools used in modern engineering, CAD. Using Tinkercad, a beginner-friendly 3D modeling software, they’ll learn how to digitally design objects with precision and creativity. In the morning, they'll follow a step-by-step tutorial to build confidence, and in the afternoon they’ll get the chance to create their own custom design, anything from a keychain to a nameplate or mini sculpture. The finished designs will be 3D printed and taken home. By the end of the day, students will understand the basics of CAD/CAM and how digital tools are used to turn ideas into real-world products.
