Civil
In the final session, students will learn how civil engineers design and build structures that stand the test of time—and nature. They’ll construct model bridges that must span distances and support weight, learning about tension, compression, and load distribution along the way. Afterward, they’ll take on the Earthquake Tower challenge, where they’ll build tall structures and test them on a shake table to see if they can survive simulated earthquakes. These engaging activities teach structural design, safety, and the importance of material choice. It’s a thrilling way to wrap up the week and apply everything they’ve learned about building strong, stable, and functional designs.
